Growing Up!!!

Brock is now a little over 2 months old!!! He had is 2 month check up the other day where he was very brave and got all of his shots. It turns out he now weighs 12 lbs and is almost 23 inches long! Now that he has reached this milestone, he is now able to fit into more of his big boy clothes and play with his big boy toys...

Carving Pumpkins!

Earlier this week we decided to carve a pumpkin that Brock could help out with. Tommy did all the messy work while I carved it into a scary ghost! However Brock wasn't too excited to touch it and made the funniest faces...

Our First Wedding Anniversary!

This weekend was our 1 year anniversary which seemed to come way too fast since so much has happened. It is so weird to have a 7 week old baby while celebrating our first year wedding anniversary.

We spent Friday night taking Brock around Main St. in Grapevine. We stopped at Cassy's yogurt shop and got some great treats and then took pictures with the pumpkins.

After that we drove down to the lake so he could see the ducks.

Saturday we took Brock to my parent's house to stay for the night so we could have some time to ourselves. We went to have drinks and desserts at Big Fish where we had our rehearsal dinner one year ago!

After we left Big Fish, Tommy surprised me by taking me to the Gaylord Texan hotel and resort where we have tons of history! Our first real date almost 7 years ago was at a restaurant in the Gaylord and we also spent our wedding night here before heading out on our honeymoon.


We had champagne in the room and the most delicious cake balls!

Such a big boy!

We put him in his bumbo just to see if he could sit since he has been doing so well with holding his head up. It's really supposed to be used when they reach about 3 months but our big boy is only 7 weeks!

Bath time!

He is getting so big that he no longer needs to sit in his sling in the bathtub! He also doesn't cry anymore during his bath so we really think he likes it now.

The Texas State Fair

This weekend we went to the State Fair of Texas...home of the foot long corny dog and the Texas Star (neither of which we experienced). There were so many people there that it was hard to get around but we had a great time at the Tech game and taking my niece Caitlyn around to all the rides!

We took Brock for a ride in his stroller at the lake for the first time on Sunday. He slept through most of it but seemed to enjoy being outside. He looked like such a big boy in his stroller...I can't believe how big he is getting!

Lil' Raider

Last Saturday Brock was so excited to get all dressed up to cheer on his Red Raiders...but he got too tired to even watch them play.
